Obverse description Central field displays a multi-line Arabic inscription arranged within a square cartouche, reading 'Sultan the Just' in bold Naskh script. Two pellets are visible flanking the central text, serving as ornamental separators between the lines of the legend. The square frame is clearly delineated by ruled lines, a characteristic compositional device of late Golden Horde coinage. The flan is irregular and slightly ragged at the edges, consistent with hammered production techniques of the early 15th century.
