Reverse description Central field bearing four horizontal lines of Kufic Arabic legend drawn from Quranic text (Surah Al-Ikhlas and the Shahada of prophethood), occupying the inner die area. A circular marginal legend in Arabic script runs between a pair of concentric circles forming the inner border, though this circumferential inscription is largely illegible on the present specimen. The design is wholly epigraphic, consistent with the canonical Umayyad reformed silver dirham type introduced by Abd al-Malik ibn Marwan and perpetuated throughout the dynasty's mint production. No figural elements, symbols, or decorative motifs are present beyond the framing circles. The reverse type reflects the standardised religious programme common to all Umayyad dirhams struck from 77 AH onwards.
