Reverse description Central field occupied by a multi-line Arabic mint and date inscription in Naskh script reading 'ضرب هذا الدرهم بسراي سنة احدى وسبعين وستمائة' ('This dirham was struck at Saray in the year six hundred and seventy-one'), arranged in horizontal registers across the flan. The text is framed by a dotted border conforming to the irregular coin outline. The strike is characteristic of hammered Golden Horde dirhams of the Mangu Timur period, with some areas of weak impression due to the hand-struck technique. The reverse provides the key attribution data identifying both the Saray mint and the AH 671 date.
