Reverse description Central field occupied by a four-line Arabic legend arranged horizontally, giving the shahada 'La ilaha illa Allah / Muhammad rasul Allah' (There is no god but God / Muhammad is the Messenger of God), followed by the mint name 'Jand' and the AH date '666-667'. The inscription is executed in a characteristic Golden Horde epigraphic style with bold, somewhat angular letterforms. A border of raised pellets encircles the legend, consistent with the obverse treatment. The flan exhibits a chip at the upper rim and surface porosity typical of the period.
