| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field occupied by the Shahada rendered in Arabic Naskh script, arranged in multiple horizontal lines reading: 'There is no god but God alone, He has no partner; Muhammad is the Messenger of God, may God's peace and blessings be upon him.' The legend fills the flan with bold, raised lettering typical of Ilkhanid hammered coinage, with no figurative imagery. The irregular flan edges, characteristic of hand-struck production, are visible around the periphery. The die is slightly off-center, a common feature of anonymous Ilkhanid dirhams of the Abaqa Khan period. |
