| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field bears the Shahada inscription in multiple lines of angular Kufic Arabic script, arranged within a plain inner circle. A circular marginal legend in Kufic script surrounds the central inscription, separated by a beaded border. The overall design is purely epigraphic with no figurative elements, consistent with the aniconic reform coinage introduced under Abd al-Malik. The flan is broad and slightly irregular, characteristic of early Umayyad hammered silver dirhams. |
