The entire design is epigraphic in Kufic script with no figural elements, consistent with the Umayyad reformed dirham type. A beaded inner border separates the central inscription from the circular marginal legend. The hammered fabric results in a slightly uneven flan, typical of early Islamic silver coinage produced at provincial mints such as Junday Sabur. |
