Reverse description Central field displays a continuation of Islamic religious text in three lines of Kufic Arabic script, with the statement affirming the prophethood of Muhammad, enclosed within a circular inner border. A marginal Quranic inscription (Surah Al-Ikhlas or mint/date formula) encircles the field, separated by a double linear border. A short decorative element appears in the lower exergue. The epigraphy is rendered in the angular early Kufic style typical of Umayyad post-reform coinage, with no symbols or figurative elements.
