| Descrizione del rovescio | Central field displaying a three-line Arabic inscription in naskh script proclaiming the ruler's titles and name within a plain border. The legend reads 'al-Sultan al-A'zam / Ali Shah / khallada Allah mulkahu', identifying the issuing ruler Alishah II with his royal titulature and a pious invocation for the perpetuity of his reign. The strike is characteristic of hammered silver coinage of the region, with some weakness at the irregular coin edges. |

| Informazioni aggiuntive |
Badakhshan, the mountainous region straddling the upper Amu Darya, occupied a peculiar political position in the early fourteenth century — nominally subject to the Chagatai Khanate yet governed by a persistent local dynasty that managed to strike its own silver. Alishah II's reign is poorly documented, and surviving dirhams from this issue are rare enough that die studies remain incomplete.
