Obverse description Central field bearing a three-line Arabic inscription citing the ruler's name and titles, enclosed within three concentric circular borders. The innermost circle frames the legend tightly, with the raised Arabic lettering executed in bold relief characteristic of Khwarazmian hammered coinage. The outer border features a decorative band of repeated short strokes or pellets. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, typical of hand-struck Islamic dirhams of the period.
