Reverse description Central field divided into registers bearing the titulature of Sultan al-Zahir Barquq in Mamluk Naskh script, incorporating the word 'Sultan' prominently at the top register. A decorative interlaced knot or geometric ornament appears in the central field, flanked by the ruler's name and titles. The mint name Halab (Aleppo) and additional honorific epithets occupy the lower registers. The peripheral legend, partially off-flan due to the irregular planchet, carries supplementary inscription typical of Mamluk silver dirhams of this period.
