| Additional information |
Al-Mundhir's reign lasted less than two years — he died in 888, almost certainly murdered on the orders of his brother 'Abdallah, who immediately succeeded him. Dirhams struck in his name are accordingly scarce, the product of a mint that had barely adjusted its dies before the emirate changed hands again. The Vives 326–327 types are the only documented varieties for this ruler.
