Reverse description Central field displays a multi-line Arabic religious inscription arranged in horizontal registers within a circular border, invoking blessings upon the Prophet and naming the four Rightly Guided Caliphs: Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, and Ali, followed by the AH date 1211. The relief is bold and the lettering densely packed, consistent with the second standard coinage type of Sultan Mawlay al-Husayn struck at Marrakesh. The flan is irregular and hand-hammered, and a post-mint perforation is present near the upper left rim.
