Beschrijving keerzijde	Central field bears a multi-line Arabic legend in Naskh script incorporating the mint name Damascus (دمشق) and the Shahada, the Islamic profession of faith. The mint and regnal date formula surround the Shahada in the typical Mamluk dirham layout, with the phrase of striking appearing above or flanking the central religious text. The strike is somewhat weak in areas, with portions of the legend partially off-flan, as is common for hammered dirhams of this period and mint. The field is flat and undecorated, with no border pellets or geometric framing elements visible. The reverse epitomizes the austere, text-only aesthetic standard to Mamluk silver coinage of the mid-fifteenth century.
