Obverse description Draped bust of a prince facing forward, wearing an elaborate headdress and a cloak with three folds visible around the shoulders; the cloak is fastened at the front by a clasp and falls open with two horizontal folds displayed at the lateral edges. The hair descends in loose waves, and the face is clean-shaven with neither beard nor moustache. The bust is anchored at the lower border of the flan, with a counterclockwise marginal Arabic legend beginning at the right side of the bust and terminating at its left. The design field is enclosed within a plain inner circle set within a dotted (pointillate) outer border.
