Obverse description Central field enclosed within a festooned six-lobed (six-foil) cartouche formed by interlaced curved bands, bordered by a continuous dotted inner border and a plain outer border. The cartouche contains multiple horizontal lines of Arabic Naskh script in raised relief, presenting the religious formula and the name and titles of the Ayyubid sultan Al-Adil Sayf al-Din Abu Bakr I. The interlaced framework creates decorative lobes radiating outward, filled with dotted ornamental bands, characteristic of the elaborate geometric artistry of Ayyubid silver coinage.

Reverse description Central field similarly enclosed within a festooned six-lobed (six-foil) cartouche of interlaced bands, framed by concentric dotted borders. Multiple horizontal lines of Arabic Naskh script in raised relief occupy the central zone, bearing the name of the Abbasid caliph al-Nasir li-Din Allah as suzerain, along with mint and date information depending on the specific variety. The interlaced lobed border design mirrors the obverse, with the interstitial areas filled with finely executed dotted beading, consistent with the refined Ayyubid hammered silver tradition.
