Obverse description Laureate head of Vespasian facing right, rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Alexandrian coinage. The laurel wreath is depicted with individual leaves encircling the imperial effigy. The Greek legend surrounds the portrait, naming the emperor in the genitive case. The portrait displays the characteristic mature features of Vespasian with a broad, rounded face. The flan is irregular and slightly worn, consistent with a circulated bronze provincial issue.
