| Reverse description | A triskeles motif occupies the central field, composed of three curved legs or spiral arms radiating from a central annulet, rendered in bold relief against a smooth background. The three arms are arranged in rotational symmetry, a design emblematic of Lycian dynastic coinage of the late fifth and early fourth centuries BC. Lycian alphabetic letters are disposed around the triskeles in the surrounding field, forming a partial dynastic legend. The reverse die is slightly smaller than the flan, leaving a plain border at the periphery. The overall execution is crisp and well-centered for this denomination. |
