(Translation: Imperator Caesar Traianus Hadrianus Augustus)
Reverse description Demeter standing facing, head turned to the left, clad in a long chiton and himation, rendered in fine linear folds characteristic of Alexandrian provincial workmanship. In her right hand she holds a bundle of grain ears, and in her left she raises a long torch upright beside her. The regnal date legend appears in the right field. The overall composition is well-centred despite the irregular flan, and the figure is rendered with clarity and dignified poise befitting the goddess of grain and fertility.
