| Obverse description | Forepart of a winged boar advancing to right, rendered in high relief with careful attention to musculature and feathering. The wing is prominently spread, its individual feathers delineated with fine incised lines radiating outward in a fan-like arrangement. The boar's bristled back and snout are clearly articulated, conveying vigorous forward motion. The type is the civic emblem of Klazomenai, one of the most distinctive devices in early Ionian coinage. No legend or inscription appears in the field. |
