Reverse description Quadripartite incuse square divided into four triangular sections by diagonal grooves, forming a characteristic windmill or saltire pattern. The incuse is deeply struck and irregular in outline, consistent with early archaic hammered technique. The surface within each quarter is rough and undecorated, typical of Aeolian fractional silver coinage of the late 6th to early 5th century BC.
