Obverse description Forepart of a horse's head facing left, rendered in archaic style with summary but bold relief typical of early Aeolian coinage. The mane is suggested by incised lines along the neck, and the eye is rendered as a simple pellet. The design occupies the full flan, with no legend or border. The surface shows the characteristic rough texture of a hand-struck silver flan.
