The goddess wears an Attic helmet whose bowl is prominently decorated with the figure of Skylla, depicted as a female bust terminating in a fish or serpent tail. 附加信息	Herakleia was founded jointly by Taras and Thourioi around 433 BC following a territorial dispute over the Siris valley — the city itself was a political compromise, and its early coinage reflects that uneasy dual patronage. By the late fourth century the mint had become significantly more productive, coinciding with Herakleia's role as the meeting place of the Italic Greek league. The diobol fraction saw heavier use in small daily transactions than the larger denominations, which accounts for the wear patterns typically seen on survivors.
