| Obverse description | Facing left, the bearded head of Herakles rendered in archaic style, enveloped in the scalp of the Nemean lion, with the characteristic feline ears and wrinkled muzzle of the pelt framing the hero's face. The mane of the lion skin is depicted in finely engraved, layered striations cascading across the neck and shoulder. A dotted border encircles the field. The modelling is bold and vigorous, characteristic of early Classical Thracian coinage. |

Dikaia was a small Thracian coastal settlement near the mouth of the Strymon, likely a Euboean colonial foundation, and its independent coinage is poorly documented — the Schönert reference draws a blank here. Issues from this mint are rarely attributed with confidence, and the handful of known specimens have passed through major collections with only tentative identification.
