| Reverse description | Forepart of a stag to right, its head turned back in a retrograde glance, with antlers prominently rendered above; a small oinochoe (wine jug) appears to the left of the animal. The ethnic inscription ΠΡΟ ΚΟΝ is disposed in two lines to the left of the stag, reading downward, identifying the issuing city of Prokonnesos. The design is vigorous and well-executed within the small flan, consistent with the engraving conventions of Propontic coinage of this era. |
