| Descrizione del rovescio | Central device consists of a cross pattée set within a plain inner circle, with a small pellet or globule visible in one of the quadrants formed by the cross arms, consistent with early Portuguese dinheiro typology. The cross is boldly struck but shows considerable flatness and irregular relief due to the hammered production method. The surrounding border legend, in Latin, is largely illegible on this heavily worn specimen. The flan is notably irregular and clipped at the edges, typical of surviving examples of this extremely rare type. |
