Obverse description Central cross with pellets or annulets in each of the four angles, enclosed between two concentric beaded circles. A Latin legend reading GIRVNDA (Gerona) runs around the periphery within the outer beaded border. The overall style is characteristic of early medieval Iberian hammered coinage, with irregular flan and somewhat crude execution.
