Obverse description Facing crowned bust of King Jaime II of Majorca rendered in a stylized medieval manner, the royal crown depicted with three fleurs or points and decorative pellets. The king's face is shown frontally with flowing hair falling to either side of the neck. The bust is set within a plain inner circle, surrounded by the Latin legend reading + REX MAIORICARUM along the outer border, separated by a beaded or corded inner ring characteristic of hammered medieval coinage.

Reverse description A plain cross pattée centered within a beaded inner circle, dividing the field into four equal quadrants. The cross extends nearly to the inner circle, with slightly flared terminals. The surrounding legend + IACOBUS DEI GRA runs along the outer border, identifying the issuing monarch by name. The overall design is typical of the Mediterranean denier tradition, struck on a roughly circular flan with characteristic irregularity of hammered coinage.
