Reverse description A plain cross pattée divides the reverse field into four quadrants, enclosed within a plain inner circle formed by a beaded or rope-like border. The bold cross extends to the inner circle in each direction, with the quadrants left plain. A circular Latin legend reading + KAROLVS REX surrounds the inner circle, rendered in Gothic lettering typical of 14th-century Navarrese issues, partially obscured by the irregular flan edges.
