Reverse description Central field displays a rampant lion facing left, rendered in bold heraldic style within a linear rectangular border, representing the Kingdom of Leon. The lion is shown in a dynamic posture with raised forepaws and an open mouth, consistent with the Leonese royal emblem as used on Castilian medieval coinage. The surrounding Latin legend reads ET LEGIONIS, completing the royal territorial title in conjunction with the obverse inscription. The flan is irregular and the strike uneven, as is typical of hammered billon dineros of the reign of Alfonso XI.
