| Reverse description | Central field bears a rampant lion passant, representing the arms of León, executed in the bold, stylized manner characteristic of medieval Castilian-Leonese billon dineros. The lion is depicted within a beaded or linear inner border, occupying the majority of the reverse field. The surrounding legend reads ET LEGIONIS, completing the royal title begun on the obverse. The die is off-center in places due to the irregular flan, a common feature of hammered coinage of this period. Overall relief is shallow but the principal device remains identifiable. |
