Reverse description A bold cross pattée occupying the central field, its four arms extending to a beaded inner circle that frames the design. The quarters formed by the cross arms contain decorative elements typical of Leonese-Castilian imperial coinage. Four letter groups of the circumferential legend are distributed between the arms of a larger implied cross, with small cross terminals visible at the cardinal points beyond the beaded circle. The overall style reflects the Romanesque aesthetic of twelfth-century Hispano-Christian minting.
