Obverse description Central design featuring three crosses arranged within the field, the principal cross prominently placed at center with two smaller crosses flanking it. The composition is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with the royal legend disposed around the periphery. The crude, hand-struck style is characteristic of Iberian billon coinage of the Reconquista period. Pellets and small ornamental devices fill the interstices between the crosses.

Reverse description A bold cross pattée occupying the central field, its four arms extending to a beaded inner circle that frames the design. The quarters formed by the cross arms contain decorative elements typical of Leonese-Castilian imperial coinage. Four letter groups of the circumferential legend are distributed between the arms of a larger implied cross, with small cross terminals visible at the cardinal points beyond the beaded circle. The overall style reflects the Romanesque aesthetic of twelfth-century Hispano-Christian minting.
