| Beschrijving voorzijde | Struck in billon, the obverse bears a multi-line Latin legend densely filling the entire field in the Leonese-Castilian denier tradition, with the inscription ALFONSVS REX CASTELLE ET LEGIONIS arranged in horizontal lines across the flan. The lettering is executed in the angular Gothic script characteristic of mid-13th-century Iberian coinage, with individual letters showing the irregular strike typical of hammered production.
