| Reverse description | A plain cross with equal arms divides the reverse field into four quarters, each bounded by a beaded inner circle that frames the entire design. The cross extends to the inner beaded border, creating a bold geometric composition characteristic of medieval Iberian billon coinage. The circumferential legend ARAGONUM ET MAIORIC runs around the periphery, asserting the king's dominion over Aragon and Majorca. The flan is irregular in shape, consistent with hand-hammered production, and the surface shows typical wear and patination of circulated billon. |
