Reverse description The reverse presents multiple lines of Arabic inscription in Maghrebi script filling the entire field, recording the mint name Marrakesh (Marrakech), the date of issue in the Islamic AH calendar, and additional religious and dynastic formulae referencing the Saadian sultan. The flan is irregular and slightly curved, consistent with hand-struck hammered production. A linear border frames the central text, and the outer edge retains traces of a pellet or rope border. Legend loss at the margins is typical for this issue and type.
