The inscription includes the Shahada and references to the Almoravid ruler. A secondary circular Arabic legend in cursive Maghribi script surrounds the inner circle, with a further marginal legend running along the outer border, all executed in high-relief hammered style characteristic of Almoravid gold coinage. |
