The king wears an elaborate winged crown surmounted by a korymbos — the characteristic hair globe of the Sasanian royal family — denoting divine kingship. A trefoil of pellets is positioned behind the crown, serving as a distinguishing dynastic attribute. The portrait is executed with bold, stylised facial features typical of early Sasanian die-cutting, with a prominent eye and defined beard. A circular border of pellets or a plain rim frames the obverse field. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | A fire altar depicted in the centre of the field, rendered in the canonical Sasanian manner with a tiered shaft and a flame issuing from the altar's bowl at the top; a pellet, an inverted crescent, and a pellet are shown upon the altar tier, serving as astronomical or dynastic symbols. Two attendants flank the altar, one on each side, both standing in profile. The attendant on the left wears a winged crown with korymbos, identifying him as the king or a royal figure, while the attendant on the right wears a mural crown.
