Christ holds the Book of Gospels in his left hand, its cover decorated with four prominent gem settings, while his right hand is raised in a gesture of benediction. The Christogram IC XC appears in the fields to either side of the nimbus. A beaded border frames the composition, consistent with the Byzantine-influenced artistic style prevalent in medieval Serbian coinage. |
