| Description du revers | Zoroastrian fire altar depicted at centre, shown in a schematic, barbarized rendering with a stepped base and horizontal bands suggesting the altar structure; two attendants flank the altar on either side, each facing inward in the Sasanian tradition. Crescents are visible flanking the flames atop the altar, a motif derived from Sasanian royal fire altar reverses. The overall composition closely follows the Peroz I drachm reverse type but is executed in a coarser, provincial style consistent with Sind mint imitative coinage of the late 5th to 6th century. |
