| Reverse description | Irregular hammered gold flan with a central field of multi-line Arabic cursive legend in horizontal registers, contained within a plain inner circle. The inscriptions name the ruling sultan Turan Shah alongside the overlord Malik Shah, asserting Seljuq dynastic authority, accompanied by the Quranic mission verse. A continuous marginal legend in Arabic script runs around the outer border of the coin. The design is entirely epigraphic, consistent with orthodox Sunni Islamic numismatic tradition of the late 5th century AH, with no decorative motifs beyond the calligraphic composition. |
