Obverse description Central field bearing a multi-line Arabic inscription in Naskh script, arranged in three or four horizontal lines within an unbordered field. The legend contains the name and titles of the ruler Tughluq Timur, rendered in bold, deeply struck characters typical of Chaghatayid hammered coinage. The flan is irregular and slightly broader at the margins, with the inscription occupying the majority of the coin's surface. The style is consistent with mid-14th century Central Asian Islamic numismatic tradition.
