| 正面描述 | Ornamented knightly helmet in right profile, flanked by the letters R and V to the left and E and V to the right in the field. The helmet rests upon a cushion or pillow decorated at each of its four corners with a group of four triple-dotted pellets. Surmounting the helmet are three prominent plumes, each terminating in a pellet. The design is rendered in the characteristic bold, angular style of medieval Serbian hammered coinage. |

| 背面描述 | Christ standing facing, depicted in an archaic and stylized manner with the legs distinctly rendered and turned to the left, a characteristic feature of this issue. He holds before him the Book of Gospels, its cover embellished with gems of varying sizes arranged decoratively. A partial legend appears in the field. The figure displays the frontal hieratic posture typical of Byzantine-influenced Serbian medieval coinage. |

Stefan Uroš V inherited the Serbian Empire at its territorial peak following his father Dušan's death in 1355, but proved unable to hold it together. Regional lords — the oblastni gospodari — fragmented the empire progressively throughout his reign, reducing him to a figurehead. He died without an heir in 1371, the same year the Ottoman victory at the Maritsa River effectively ended Serbian imperial ambitions. His coinage continued Dušan's monetary conventions largely unchanged, an irony given how little else remained stable.
