Aanvullende informatie

Stefan Uroš V inherited the Serbian Empire at its apex but proved wholly unable to hold it together. Following the death of Stefan Dušan in 1355, the powerful regional lords — Vukašin, Uglješa, and others — functioned as de facto independent rulers while nominally acknowledging Uroš as emperor. The coinage continued, but authority behind it was fragmenting in real time.

The series ended abruptly when Uroš died in 1371 without an heir, weeks after the catastrophic Ottoman victory at the Maritsa River destroyed what remained of Serbian imperial power in the south.
