| Obverse description | Central device depicting an ornamented knightly helmet surmounted by three feathers or plumes. The surrounding field bears a Latin legend disposed around the rim, invoking the ruler's title by divine grace. The design is executed in the medieval hammered style characteristic of Serbian dynastic coinage of the fourteenth century. The lettering is rendered in gothic Latin characters consistent with the chancery conventions of the Nemanjić court. |
