| Obverse description | Christ enthroned in full frontal view, seated on a high-backed throne with ornate lateral finials decorated with pellets, nimbus surrounding the head with a cruciform halo. Christ holds the Book of Gospels before him with both hands, rendered in Byzantine hieratic style. Trefoil ornaments appear in the upper fields flanking the figure, with the nomina sacra monogram divided across the field. The overall composition reflects strong Byzantine iconographic influence characteristic of medieval Serbian coinage. |
