正面描述 Enthroned frontal effigy of the ruler, depicted seated on a high-backed throne and holding a scepter tipped with a trefoil of three pellets in his right hand, wearing a round crown. Three pellets appear at the terminus of the legend, with groups of four pellets and three pellets flanking the king's head on either side. The design reflects the Byzantine-influenced iconographic tradition prevalent in medieval Serbian coinage.

附加信息

Stefan Dušan was crowned Emperor of the Serbs and Greeks in Skopje in April 1346, an event that reoriented the entire political and monetary architecture of the medieval Balkans. The imperial coronation prompted a deliberate shift in coinage output — the dinar series issued under the imperial title differs from his earlier royal issues, reflecting the chancery's need to project the new rank across a domain that stretched from the Danube to the Gulf of Corinth. The Serbian empire at its peak rivaled Byzantium in territorial extent, and Dušan was actively negotiating with the papacy for recognition when he died suddenly in December 1355.
