Obverse description Enthroned frontal effigy of the ruler, depicted seated on a high-backed throne and holding a scepter tipped with a trefoil of three pellets in his right hand, wearing a round crown. Three pellets appear at the terminus of the legend, with groups of four pellets and three pellets flanking the king's head on either side. The design reflects the Byzantine-influenced iconographic tradition prevalent in medieval Serbian coinage.

Reverse description Standing frontal figure of Christ Pantocrator, robed, raising the right hand in blessing and holding a book of Gospels in the left. The Christogram sigla IC XC (Jesus Christ) appear in the field to either side of the figure, with the Greek letter delta (δ) surmounted by a cross accompanying the sigma (C) as a secondary sigla. One trefoil pellet mark is positioned to the left and three trefoil pellet marks to the right, consistent with the die variant classification of this emission. The style closely follows Byzantine numismatic iconography.
