Obverse description Effigy of Shahanshah Peroz I in right-facing profile, wearing his distinctive third-type crown composed of two lateral wings surmounted by a frontal crescent, with a korymbos (hair globe) set atop an additional crescent; flowing ribbons extend over each shoulder. The bust is rendered in the refined Sasanian court style, with bold relief characteristic of fifth-century royal gold coinage. Inscriptional Pahlavi legends frame the portrait in the surrounding field.

Reverse description A Zoroastrian fire altar depicted centrally, its flame flanked by a star to the right and a crescent to the left, with two attendant figures standing in adoration on either side; ribbons adorn the altar shaft. The attendants are rendered in frontal or three-quarter stance in the standard Sasanian tradition. Inscriptional Pahlavi legends appear in the surrounding field, likely including the mint signature and regnal formulae.
