Obverse description Central field contains a multi-line Arabic religious inscription arranged within a plain inner circle, surrounded by a concentric marginal legend in Arabic script. The lettering is boldly struck in relief against a flat field, characteristic of Ghaznavid hammered gold coinage. The outer legend runs along the entire circumference within a beaded or rope border. The coin exhibits the irregular flan typical of hand-struck Islamic dinars of the 5th century AH, with slightly ragged edges. The overall design follows the aniconic epigraphic tradition of Sunni Islamic coinage.

Reverse description The reverse presents a densely arranged multi-line Arabic field inscription occupying the central roundel, with the mint name and regnal or Hijri date formula distributed within the text. A concentric marginal legend in Arabic script encircles the central area, separated by a linear border. The Shahada and honorific titles for the Ghaznavid sultan Mawdud and the Abbasid caliph are typically inscribed in accordance with standard Ghaznavid dinar typology. The hammered flan shows slight crinkle and uneven strike, consistent with 11th-century Islamic gold coinage. The epigraphy is rendered in an angular Kufic style.
